The NoWaste programme was chosen as the Waste Initiative of the Year at the 2006 Sustainability Awards hosted by Building Magazine. This is the second year running that NoWaste won a top award.

... NoWaste, which helps construction teams to identify the root causes of waste and provides the tools and training to reduce and manage waste more efficiently, was first trialled in 2004 on Bovis Lend Lease’s Project W8 in Regent Street and Chelsea Bridge Wharf. NoWaste’s training procedures, even then, cut waste by 2.5 cubic metres for every £100,000 spent. Another project, Grand Arcade in Cambridge, had reduced its waste by 25 per cent over six months..."

NoWaste was also a finalist at the 2006 National Recycling Awards. The judges found

"... the amount of efforts put into training and giving people continued knowledge is fantastic. It really has been embedded as part of the company’s culture...”

The NoWaste prgoramme was also amongst the top winners in 2005’s National Green Apple Environmental Awards. In a partnership with Bovis Lend Lease, Greenfile Developments won the coveted National Green Champion award in the Building and Construction category for Wastes Management. The award was presented at the House of Commons on 8th November 2005.
